The original fx-8200 AU is a scientific calculator with six apps: Calculate, Statistics, Distribution, Table, Complex and Vector. Its natural display presents expressions in textbook-style form, and the Format menu changes supported results between exact and decimal forms. The Table app tabulates one or two functions.
Use it for arithmetic, scientific functions, summary statistics, regression and probability work. It runs on one AAA R03 battery and is separate from the newer fx-8200 AU II generation. Course and exam requirements should be checked against the exact original model before purchase.
The six-app structure groups different types of work instead of placing every operation in one mode. Exact and decimal output lets supported results be viewed in different forms through the Format menu. Prime factorisation, greatest common divisor and least common multiple add number tools. Its approximately 100 g weight includes the battery. Casio's roughly two-year battery-life figure assumes one hour per day rather than unlimited use. Select the correct angle unit and the exact model approved for the intended course or examination.

Care and safe use
Clean with a soft dry cloth. Avoid strong pressure, impacts, bending, moisture, dust and extreme temperatures. Use the specified battery and replace it at least every two years; supplied battery life can be shorter after storage. Do not recharge non-rechargeable cells.
