D-Link DGS-1100-05V2 5-Port Gigabit Smart Managed Switch
The DGS-1100-05V2 connects up to 5 compatible wired Ethernet devices at negotiated 10/100/1000 Mb/s port speeds. Its web management interface supports VLAN separation, Quality of Service, IGMP snooping and cable diagnostics, making it suitable for a small office or planned home network that needs more control than an unmanaged switch.

Switching capacity is 10 Gbps.
The fanless desktop unit uses the supplied external power adapter and does not provide Power over Ethernet to connected devices. Place it where air can circulate and connect the network equipment with separately obtained Ethernet leads.
VLAN groups can separate appropriate traffic in a planned network, while QoS and IGMP snooping provide controls beyond simply adding sockets. These functions require suitable configuration rather than automatically increasing internet speed. The five-port total includes any connection to an upstream router. Its 100.5 × 82 × 28 mm body is intended for desktop or suitable wall placement.

Specifications
Compatibility
Negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mb/s with compatible copper Ethernet devices over RJ-45; supports automatic MDI/MDIX and standard Ethernet/IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3ab links. The DGS-1100-05V2 is a wired Layer 2 switch, with no Wi-Fi, routing, SFP socket or PoE output.
Use and product notes
Place on a ventilated shelf using the feet, or fit the wall kit to a suitable surface. Connect the supplied adapter to a suitable Australian mains outlet and attach compatible RJ-45 Ethernet leads to the devices and router; leads are separate. For custom VLAN or QoS settings, use a computer on the same network to access the web interface or D-Link Network Assistant. Use a separate PoE switch or injector if connected devices need Ethernet power.
Keep ventilation openings clear and do not load heavy objects on the case. Operate at 0–40 °C and 0–90% relative humidity without condensation; keep away from water and heat. Disconnect mains power before cleaning with a dry lint-free cloth. Do not disassemble or attempt a repair.
No PoE, command-line interface or static routing is listed. Configuration requires networking knowledge.
Suitable RJ-45 Ethernet leads and connected devices/router are required separately. An Ethernet-equipped computer is useful for web administration. A separate PoE injector or PoE switch is needed if an attached camera, phone or access point needs PoE; this model does not supply it.
