The EcoXGear Defender is a rechargeable speaker for music at home, outdoor gatherings and camping trips. Its two-way speaker system combines a 6 × 9 inch main driver with a 1.7 inch titanium tweeter, driven by an amplifier rated at 100 W peak. Three equaliser settings, Default, Inside and Outside, let you adjust the sound for the listening location.
Bluetooth 5.1 lets you stream from a compatible phone or other audio device. Two phones can remain connected, allowing listeners to take turns playing music. A 3.5 mm auxiliary input provides a wired alternative. EcoCast can link up to 100 compatible EcoXGear and SoundExtreme products, so compatible speakers can share the same audio.
The Defender floats and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water protection when its rear connection cap is correctly sealed. It suits use around the beach, pool or campsite within those limits, but the connections must stay dry when the cap is open. Dual handles and strap attachment points help with carrying the speaker.
25 hours of playback, or 6 hours at maximum volume. Actual running time depends on how the speaker is used. A full charge takes approximately 5–6 hours using the supplied 18 V power adapter. The USB-C port supplies 5 V at up to 2.1 A to charge another device while the speaker is switched on; it is an output and cannot charge the Defender itself.
Addressable RGB lighting can be adjusted on the speaker or through the SoundExtreme app. A built-in flashlight offers three brightness levels, and backlit controls help you locate the buttons in low light. These features make the speaker useful for gatherings that continue into the evening.
An integrated microphone supports hands-free calls. For announcements or singing, a separately purchased dynamic microphone can connect to the 6.35 mm input, with available microphone effects including reverberation and echo. The microphone, auxiliary cable and device-charging cable are separate accessories. After salt-water or pool use, rinse and dry the speaker as directed in the manual, and let it dry fully before opening the connection cover or charging.

Compatibility

App and setup
Fully charge with the supplied 18 V adapter before first use. Select Bluetooth mode and pair ECOXGEAR-Defender. The optional SoundExtreme app controls advanced lighting. Use inputs and charging connections only when dry.
Keep rear seals clean and correctly closed around water. Rinse after salt-water or pool use and dry fully before opening or charging. Do not charge if water ingress is suspected. Use only the supplied 18 V adapter and recharge every three months during storage.
100 W is peak, not RMS. IP67 requires clean, correctly sealed caps. USB-C is output only and does not play flash-drive music. The microphone and auxiliary cable are separate.
