Eve Motion Matter Motion Sensor

Eve Motion is a battery-powered sensor that detects movement and ambient light for a compatible smart-home system. It can supply the trigger for supported automations, such as switching compatible lighting when movement is detected. The sensor is an input to that system rather than a standalone light or alarm, so the useful outcome depends on the other devices and automations configured in the chosen platform.

This Matter version communicates over Thread and requires a compatible hub providing both a Matter controller and a Thread border router. Its 120-degree field of view and up-to-nine-metre motion range are specified at a two-metre mounting height. Freestanding or wall-mounted placement allows the sensing position to suit the room, while the integrated light sensor adds an ambient-light measurement for supported functions. Two replaceable AAA batteries are included.

Use the compatible platform app on a supported iPhone, iPad or Android device for setup. Light-level automation, notifications and history differ by platform; advanced history and adjustment features use the Eve app with Apple Home. The IPX3 rating does not permit immersion. Position the sensor within its environmental limits and the Thread network's coverage rather than assuming that any Wi-Fi router supplies the required hub functions.
