Eve Outdoor Cam combines an outdoor video camera, movement sensor and floodlight for Apple HomeKit Secure Video. It can provide a view of a suitable outdoor area, illuminate activity and support two-way speech through its built-in microphone and speaker.
The movement sensor has a separate 100-degree field of view and a range up to eight metres at a 2.5-metre mounting height. Three-axis adjustment helps position the camera view, while a temporary light-boost mode supplements the floodlight's normal function. These are distinct from the connected recording and notification functions supplied through Apple's ecosystem.
Installation requires mains wiring with neutral and protective earth, following the exact regional manual and applicable installation requirements. Mount the camera upright with the microphone and speaker facing down. A current compatible iPhone or iPad, Apple Home hub, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and an iCloud+ plan of at least 50 GB are separate requirements. Connect to a suitable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. IP55 protection does not permit unrestricted immersion or override the required mounting orientation.
