The 16MR70 adds a 16-inch 2560 × 1600 workspace to a compatible laptop. Its 16:10 IPS screen has an anti-glare surface and a 99% typical DCI-P3 gamut. The aluminium and PC-ABS body weighs 670 g without the folio cover, making it practical to carry between workspaces.
USB-C ports on both sides support display connection. The laptop must provide DisplayPort Alternate Mode and USB power above 7.5 W at 5 V/1.5 A; a USB-C connector alone does not establish compatibility. The folio doubles as a support at 105° or 120°. Auto Rotate requires the LG Switch app, and a low laptop battery can disable the connection.
The 16:10 shape supplies more vertical pixels than a 16:9 screen at the same horizontal resolution, useful for documents and side-by-side work. This is an external display rather than a computer with its own operating system. Its non-touch 60 Hz panel has brightness of 350 cd/m² and 1200:1 typical contrast. The folio weight is separate from the 670 g bare monitor, so carrying mass should not be confused with that bare-body figure. A compatible host must provide both the video signal and sufficient power for the single-cable use.
