The output supports up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz. A secondary display can be added when the computer’s graphics system supports the intended arrangement. Set the source to a mode accepted by the receiving screen; the converter’s maximum is a limit rather than a promise that every display accepts it.
The DisplayPort plug connects to the computer, and a separate VGA lead runs from the converter to the display. Its 150 mm attached lead gives some positioning flexibility around the host socket. The converter body is approximately 38 × 61 × 17 mm and weighs 45 g, excluding retail packaging.
Conversion is one-way from DisplayPort source to VGA display. VGA carries video only, so audio requires a separate arrangement if needed. The monitor, VGA cable and computer are separate equipment. Plug-and-play operation still requires compatible source hardware and a supported display mode.
