The Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream Webcam adds video capture and stereo microphones to a compatible computer. It offers a choice between Full HD 1080p at up to 30 frames per second and 720p at up to 60 frames per second. That gives a supported application the choice of higher resolution or a faster frame rate, rather than promising both maxima at once.
A glass lens and autofocus accommodate changes in subject distance, while the 78-degree diagonal view includes the speaker and some of the surrounding workspace. The 1.2× digital zoom provides a modest additional framing adjustment. Built-in stereo microphones capture nearby speech, with a range of up to one metre.
An attached 1.5 m USB-A cable connects it to the host. Logitech lists Windows 8 or later, macOS 10.10 or later and ChromeOS, with support for compatible calling and streaming applications including OBS and XSplit Broadcaster.
Choose the camera and microphone in the software settings and select a supported video mode. Online use depends on the service, internet connection and any required account.
