The Philips TAT1139BK/97 earbuds use an open-fit design with 13 mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.4 and touch controls. Each earbud includes a microphone for calls, with an algorithm that reduces some background noise. Mono mode allows one earbud to be used on its own.
Up to six hours of listening from the earbuds and another 20 hours through the charging case. A 15-minute boost provides up to an hour of playback, while a full earbud recharge takes about two hours. The case charges over USB-C. Earbuds are rated IPX4 for splash resistance; this does not establish protection for the case or submersion.
The earbuds remember four paired hosts but connect to only one at a time, so that memory is not a multipoint feature. Touch gestures cover playback, volume, tracks and the supported voice-assistant function. A low-latency gaming mode is without a numerical latency promise.
Remove the insulating films, charge the earbuds in their case, then remove them and select Philips TAT1139 in the host Bluetooth menu. A separate suitable USB supply and compatible Bluetooth audio device are required.
