The GRM2000SS cooks up to two sandwiches or wraps using a flat lower cooking plate and a ribbed upper plate. The 1800 W unit heats both plates, and Sunbeam describes an approximately two-minute warm-up under its test conditions. The upper ribs leave grill marks on foods cooked with the plate down.
The AnyHeight lever adjusts and locks the floating upper plate at different heights. It can hover above an open sandwich or cheese melt to warm the toppings without pressing them flat. With the plate lowered, the unit presses toasties, wraps and suitable grill foods. Indicator lights show warm-up and ready states.
Allow the fixed EasyClean non-stick plates to cool before wiping them with a soft damp cloth. The handle has a cool-touch grip, but exterior surfaces and plates become hot. The press can be stored upright with the cable wound underneath.
The floating upper plate accommodates suitable thicker foods, while its locking function is useful when toppings should be heated without compression. This two-slice model's 235 × 175 mm plates are distinct from the larger six-slice press. Keep at least 200 mm clearance from walls and curtains and place the unit on a suitable heat-resistant surface. Plate cleaning is by wiping the fixed surfaces after cooling.

Households needing a compact two-sandwich press.
Both plates heat; the AnyHeight lever sets the top plate above food or lets it press onto the lower plate.
