Know what
you’re getting.
The genuine Brother TZe-261 cassette produces black labels on a white background. It contains 8 m of 36 mm-wide tape in Brother’s standard laminated range. The laminate protects the printed text, while the easy-peel backing helps with application.
Use it only in a P-touch label maker that accepts TZe tape at 36 mm width. The label maker is separate from this replacement cassette.
The 36 mm width provides a larger label area than narrower TZe cassettes, but it only fits a printer explicitly supporting that width. Brother Australia's displayed compatibility includes PT-E920BT, PT-D800W, PT-P910BT, PT-P950NW and PT-P900W. Apply the standard adhesive to an appropriate smooth surface; specialist tapes may be needed for rough materials or tight cable wraps. Avoid direct food contact, copper and circuit boards. Published resistance tests are controlled exposures rather than unrestricted operating limits.
The P-touch printing process forms the text by thermal transfer and covers it with a protective laminate. Adhesive under the label attaches it after the backing is removed.

Compatibility
Brother Australia currently lists: PT-E920BT, PT-D800W, PT-P910BT, PT-P950NW, PT-P900W. This is the manufacturer’s displayed list, not a claim that every historical compatible model is listed.
Use and product notes
Requires a Brother P-touch label maker confirmed to accept this 36 mm TZe cassette. Install and feed the cassette according to that label maker’s guide, create the label, then peel the backing and apply it to a suitable surface. Software and power requirements belong to the chosen label maker.
Keep unused cassettes dry, away from direct sun, dust and extreme conditions. Never pull feeding tape or print from an empty cassette. Test the surface first: removal can leave residue, change colour or damage finishes. Wet, dirty or uneven surfaces can reduce adhesion.
Do not apply to copper, circuit boards or directly to food. Food packaging use is permitted. Avoid prolonged alcohol immersion. Laboratory resistance results depend on the surface and exposure; they are not continuous operating ratings.
A compatible 36 mm-capable Brother P-touch label maker is required separately. No separate electrical supply, app or subscription applies to the tape itself; the chosen label maker may have its own requirements.
Tape width 36 mm; tape length 8 m. These are media dimensions, not cassette outer dimensions.
Black print on white laminated media. Brother describes PET protective/base films, acrylic adhesive and a release liner.
