The Pioneer VREC-H520DC records 2K video from its front camera and Full HD video from the included rear camera. The front unit uses a 5 MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor with HDR processing and a 135-degree diagonal field of view. Its 3-inch display provides local setup and playback.
Built-in GPS, a G-sensor and loop recording support review of recorded journeys and events. A 128 GB microSD card is included; the camera supports Class 10 or faster cards up to 512 GB. A compatible smartphone can connect over local 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Parking recording requires the optional RD-HWK300 hardwire kit installed by a trained automotive technician. Driver alerts are warnings only. The supplied vehicle power adapter is specified for a 12 V accessory socket, and the camera receives 5 V through USB-C.
Its display makes positioning and playback possible at the camera, while the phone app is another local access option. HDR processing belongs to the front imaging system and should not be transferred as an unsupported specification to the rear camera. H.265 video encoding and selectable one- or three-minute loop segments support the recorded-file workflow. Keep the camera installation and wiring clear of sightlines and airbags, and do not interpret its driver-warning features as control of the vehicle.

App and setup
Correct vehicle mounting, compatible microSD and power connection. Parking mode requires separate RD-HWK300 hardwire kit with professional installation.
Use a trained automotive installer for hardwire power. Keep cameras and cables clear of the driver’s view, airbags and vehicle controls. Keep away from liquids. Switch off before inserting/removing microSD. Clean and dry the mounting surface and allow about 24 hours for adhesive bonding, following the manual.
Driver alerts are warnings only. Wi-Fi/app live view does not establish internet-based remote monitoring. Parking mode needs separate hardwire power.
